Our Summer Sounds Concerts are held annually each Sunday in July and August

JULY 16 – KingMixers
Gary Preston and his band The KingmiXers deliver a delicious mix of blues and boogie, driven by sweet, scorching harmonica. Music has taken Gary from Detroit to Memphis to New Orleans; from the Caribbean to Europe. He’s played everything from blues joints to festivals, sharing the stage with James Cotton, Louis Meyers, John Hammond, Colin James, Lee Oscar, Otis Rush, and Junior Wells.

With more than 15 amazing costume changes, hilarious impersonations and 50 years of hits, their “Rock Down Memory Lane” is an explosive, interactive, high-energy show that has everyone on the dance floor!
JULY 30 – Dockside Drive

Fresh off theatre and festival performances through BC, this dynamic band entertains audiences with the music of the 1940s, 50s & 60s. You won’t want to miss the chance to see and hear this ensemble performing well-known swing, blues, jazz and show tunes! It’s guaranteed you’ll be swingin’ and singin’ along! Perhaps take to the dancefloor!
AUGUST 06 – TBA
AUGUST 13 – Paul Pigat AKA Cousin Harley
Cousin Harley is the rocking hillbilly persona of Paul Pigat, an accomplished guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. Hailing from Vancouver, Cousin Harley has a hard-earned reputation for delivering everything from hot rod rockabilly to foot stomping vintage country and western swing. From classic honky tonk and cow punk tinged rippers, to a helping of western swing and classic jump blues, Cousin Harley plays in the old tradition—slugging it out hot and heavy in the trenches of the live music scene.
AUGUST 20 – Capital City Syncopators
The Capital City Syncopators is a modern take on prohibition-era jazz and country swing. This eccentric 5-piece plays hot jazz, novelty songs, and hits from the 1980’s. They combine their love for riverboat music with Gypsy and Western Swing to produce a sound that is danceable, melodic and a heckuva lot o’ fun!
AUGUST 27 – The County Line
The County Line had humble beginnings: playing acoustic guitars and singing their favourite country songs in small pubs and bars across Vancouver Island in 2013. In three short years, The County Line has grown as a band, as performers, and as songwriters. Their acoustic show beginnings have turned into performances across BC as a blazing 6 piece electric country band. Small bar stages have paved the way into appearances as opening acts for Dierks Bentley, Brett Kissel, George Canyon and The Washboard Union with the group performing before thousands on festival stages.
Peninsula Celebrations Society’s annual Summer Sounds concert series starts July 9 and runs each Sunday through Aug 30 from 2 to 4 pm. Your generous donations at the concert help pay these talented performers. THANK YOU!
