The Peninsula Celebrations Society is proud to be part of bringing the following annual events to the community:

Polar Bear Swim

Join fellow hardy islanders and enjoy an invigorating start to the new year with a polar bear swim! Takes place at Glass Beach at the end of Beacon Avenue in Sidney.

Easter Egg Hunt

Hop over for some fun! Children are invited to bring their Easter baskets to Dominion Brook Park (across from the Panorama Recreation Centre) in North Saanich. Find the hidden eggs, visit with the Easter Bunny, enjoy games and activites. Fun for the entire family!

Canada Day Parade

The Canada Day Parade takes place on Beacon Avenue with a lots of great floats to see! The parade route ends where our Family Fun Fair begins…

Family Fun Fair

Directly following the Canada Day Parade, the Family Fun Fair takes place at Iroquois Park. Come out and enjoy an array of activities great for the whole family!

Build-a-boat

Teams of 3 attempt to build boats with $100 of materials donated by Slegg Building Materials. Later that afternoon the teams compete in a race.

Summer Sounds Concerts

Summer Sounds Concerts are held at Beacon Park, every Sunday in July and August from 2pm to 4pm.

Breakfast with Santa

Enjoy a delicious Pancake Breakfast with Santa. Breakfast served by the Sidney Lion’s Club.

Sparkles Parade

The Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade runs through the centre of town along Beacon Avenue. After the parade people are encouraged to move to Beacon and Bevan wharves and the Sidney waterfront around Beacon Park to catch a glimpse of the Lighted Boat Parade.

Treat Street

Downtown Sidney is closed to traffic and invites little ghosts, goblins and princesses to enjoy a family trick-or-treating event on Halloween eve! Visit various businesses and treat stations around Sidney as well as many local merchants. Free fun for the entire family!
